The entire country of Norway is" shutting down"
Starting Thursday, Norway country announced
"measures that will be the most extensive Norway's
population has experienced in peacetime,"
and which involve practically shutting down the entire country
in order to slow the spread of the new coronavirus,
Norwegian Minister of Health and Care Services
Bent Høie told the national broadcaster, NRK.
In addition to kindergartens, child care facilities, schools,
and universities closing nationwide,
and a ban on both professional and amateur sports —
measures that have been taken only regionally so far in the U.S. —
the entire country of Norway is also requiring all hairdressers,
massage clinics, gyms, and tattoo parlors to close,.
Cultural events are also banned, with museums, pools,
and libraries additionally closing.
While grocery stores will remain open,
restaurants, bars, pubs, and nightclubs are required to Close
if they can't guarantee a three-foot distance between patrons.
Buffets, naturally, are banned.
Additionally, everyone entering Norway from anywhere other than another Nordic country will be required to be home-quarantined, regardless of symptoms —
one of the most drastic measures taken in Europe so far.
Healthcare professionals are no longer allowed to travel abroad, and the country is encouraging its citizens traveling abroad to return home at once.
"Norway is shutting down … this is serious."
The country faces one of the worst outbreaks in Europe,
with some 650 positive cases as of Thursday morning.
"It is extremely important that people follow this advice,"
Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg said.
"To be able to curb this, we need everyone to come together."

This was said to us Norwegians yesterday.
We have rising corona infection about 900 and 24 people are hospitalized .Seven to eight infected per hour Many with intensive respiratory treatment ,one death In our country they have now stopped taking corona tests for it has come out of control Only the sickest get tested and are admitted. The rest of us have to settle on the home quarantine We are not allowed to travel inland. Those who travel in mountain cabins can not count on getting help if they fall ill. We are also checked if we comply with the home quarantine.
Health professionals are severely affected and it will be even worse We assume we are in phase two now and expect rising sick and deaths in phases 3, 4 and 5. We who work as nurses are not allowed to go away. Many of us are already in quarantine. The question is how long it will take before one is notified well. They expect 3 to four weeks..maybe more. Many of us wonder if we are infected and cured can we get it again?
We also have contacted the Red Cross and the Volunteer Center. They have to go to work while we are sick from work at hospital, nursing homes and other institutions. Teachers have also been set up to help.
I think it is important people understand the seriousness of this new horrible virus. I do not laugh when I see one on the street who has used a bucket over their heads to protect themselves.Yes use what you can.We have no more Antibac and either not some protective equipment. Some factories in my local area are producing right now. The latest news ticking at me from MSM says that nine airports in Norway are closing down now.If there are Norwegians abroad who want to go home they must do it now. Before the whole air of flights in europe will be locked down I have friends sitting in hotel rooms in Gran Canaria, They are frightened and know they have to quarantine when they arrive in Norway if they come home Health professionals prepare for the most stringent infection prevention measures in Norway's history and we dont know when it is over
It is a difficult time for Norway and the world. A different everyday life. Saddle among children young and older
Here in the country, everyone is in readiness and
SOLIDARITY WITH THE ELDERLY AND OTHERS WITH CHRONIC DISORDERS
It's about protecting ourselves to protect others.
In Bergen, we have now set up one hospital for coronary disease and one nursing home has been used for coronas infected
Public transport closed down.Only the most urgent such as health personnel, fire equipment water and electricity, people are still standing at work.
Course of disease
Week 1 - Not So Sick-Mild Symptoms
Week 2. Then it gets worse.
It can go both ways, but one must be home until one
is symptom free about after 7 to 8 weeks.

For the sickest who do not get well it can go on for many months, those
with major health problems maybe repirator treatment for the rest of life.
You think maybe I am exaggerating but this is very serious
Hope everyone takes their precautionary rules that you have
probably been given by your state
I will update from here. I will be quarantined sometime
and then I will meet with the doctors on Wednesday.
I have diffuse but mild symptoms.
My son is also in quarantine and he coughs a little and is very tired.

The latest news
We are getting economic help from America

This virus is serious business, Anita. The whole world is suffering to one extent or another, but it seems particularly all-encompassing in Norway. Stay well. I hope that you will soon be able to resume a normal life.
SvarSlettThank you David!I hope the "Lock Down will have some effects.
SlettStay safe as well!
Que Deus nos ajude.
SvarSlettNunca vi algo que cause tanta ansiedade.
Será que durante algum tempo temos de viver num mundo virtual.
Um grande abraço esvoaçante Anita.
As melhoras.
Megy Maia
thank you Megy!
SlettI think if there is a God..he wishes us to do all we can to prevent the virus!
Mother Nature truly does rule supreme. That much is certain, whether she is spawning new viruses or conjuring up fierce storms and climatic catastrophes. Life truly is a serious, deadly game each of us must play to the best of our abilities.
SvarSlettIn, "Notes from Underground," Fyodor Dostoyevsky wrote: "Nature does not ask your permission, she has nothing to do with your wishes, and whether you like her laws or dislike them, you are bound to accept her as she is, and consequently all her conclusions."
Take care, Anita, follow all the health and safety rules and I am sending you and Alexander a bit of my Old Norse "health-luck" .... use it wisely ....
Well ok.I hope the strong lockdown has done some prevent..Today no New infected!Wow..The curve is straightening out!But I can not be so happy because we dont test peopel any more..we just have to stay in Our homes to we get really really sick.
SlettBut there are som e good News!
In the midst of closing schools, quarantine rules and empty store shelves, it is also important to keep calm. Then it might help to know that experts around the world are working on solutions.
One drug that stands out
Dr. Richard Hatchett, expert on epidemics and public health, is leading the effort to find a vaccine against the Covid-19 virus. He has been allocated millions of dollars to urgently develop a vaccine, but still says it will take time.
Hatchett estimates it will take 12 to 18 months for the vaccine to be ready for use.
What about medicines for those already infected with Covid-19?
Here too, we work intensively on solutions. Since the virus broke out, scientists have gone through about 300 studies on various drugs that may work against Covid-19, The Guardian writes.
It is one drug that stands out and is referred to as the greatest hope against the coronavirus by a number of international newspapers, namely Remdesivir.
Remdesivir was actually developed to fight the Ebola virus and is a broad-spectrum antiviral drug. Antiviral drugs do not cure a viral disease but slow it down. In this case, it is hoped that Remdesivir can shorten the infection.
Ok thank you for the comment!
I will have some updates now and then but I am going to Close for comments! So many stupid comments sometimes!
Stay safe in the upcoming months!

Hej !
Takk Roger!Glad i dere :)

SlettIt's a very difficult time for so many people. If it had happened a few years ago when I was working with some very sick and disabled children and also supporting my aged mother in her home, I'd have been in an impossible situation myself. Now I am retired and only have to worry about myself so it's not so bad. We can only hope that this serious situation does not last too long. Take care.
SvarSlettThank you John!
